Chronojump software: 2.6.0 (2026 Jan 26)

(Differences from 2.5.2-63 2025-Sept-2)

New features for all modes:

• Session results graph and table:
• All the session results graphs have boxplots.
• Boxplots show quartiles, median, mean and outliers.
• The variable shown in session results graph is shown in bold at session results table.
• Seen data on graph is shown with a gray rectangle on the boxplots. And the limit spinbutton it is also on grey to help understand this behaviour. This characteristics help to don’t feel lost when a jump so low is done but it is not shown on graph because is sorted by height and limited to n jumps.
• Unseen data on graph (eg. show with a filter 7 jumps when there are 10 on session), it will show the other 3 as diamonds. This is very useful for encoder as saved repetitions of one set can be shown or not on the graph. The diamonds help to understand that.
• Shown historical reference of that person. It’s shown in brown line and text with a brown history icon. It appears only if have tests of same exercise in other sessions. In Gravitatory weight needs to be the same. In inertal all the encoder configuration has to be the same. It replaces the old way of having historical comparison in encoder (and it allows more modes than just meanPower, meanForce, meanSpeeed).
• Removed old max/min arrows from graph.
• Graphs sorted by Last by default.
• At graphs now we can right click to edit/delete/repair. This behaviour is distinctive with a mouse icon with two colorized buttons.
• Fixed overlapping of bottom names on graphs.
• Tables on all modes show now if there is a video of that test or not.
• All selected data on all tables/graphs is shown in yellow. Even yellow rhombus on session results graphs.
• Persons management:
• Person has now name and surname: shown on all parts of the program. It can be sorted by name or surname on left of the screen. Fixed all the add/load/import persons methods.
• Persons can be exported to a csv file (including just persons from session or all persons).
• fixed a crash on personTreeview by changing person name while filter is active.
• To fix migrations between persons in different devices, now persons now have also a muuid with machineID and person UUID. Database name can be edited (preferences/advanced).
• ShowAllPersonsEvents on show all sessions shows: Please, Wait!
• Person’s table on the left can be sorted also by the num or tests on each mode.
• External window:
• External window at capture for jumps and races. It shows the progress and the final result.
• Useful for showing in another screen for the runner or the audience.
• Special messages for catalan fireman tests.
• Selected row in any data treeview is in yellow. It helps to identify better the test we are evaluating, editing, …
• Import sessions
• Import session now imports the videos (on any mode). Also import now has more debug info to solve future problems.
• Fixed issue with chronojumpImporter.cs related to . on latin win (and maybe silicon), thanks Gilles.
• Main window on opening is much more shorter. With the drawingareas of consistent 150 px height.
• Edit event (all modes) show datetime. It can be copy/pasted, nice for debug and some researchers.
• After importing jumps, runs .csv, the persons treeview n is updated now.
• Added Bluetooth tests on preferences/advanced with some widgets. Other Bluetooth improvements.
• Fixed a crash on migration of DB 2.64->2.65 when there are no persons. This affected to few people who have Chronojump installed, they have no persons in the db (no data at all) and they updated to 2.5.2
• DB version: 2.76 (DB of 2.5.2-63 was 2.66)
• Person name has not made any test” says now which tests if it’s selected on forceSensor, encoder, race analyzer.
• getNews disabled until fixed problems on Linux with faulty Eduroam.
• Fixed “Kg” to “kg” on many parts of the program.
• On Arduino devices better connection at start or after crash: getVersion now removes initial garbage (if any)

Encoder:

• Encoder if cannot capture (usually drivers windows) prevents crash and show message.
• Fixes on edit a encoder test (Thanks to Kishore for all the debugging):
• Encoder edit a test does not update max force, max power on DB (and on session results treeview).
• If encoder set weight is decimal it gets incorrectly shown on edit_event.
• Session results table changes:
• headers for sets are different than headers for reps (two header rows).
• added units on column headers.
• repetitions in different color to be easier to distinguish from sets.
• on inertial sets now shows n weights, diameter, inertia moment, equivalent mass.
• More informative after ending a capture with no repetitions it say the user: minimal length or minimal range of movement.
• On intertial now it is shown the load on each set.
• On inertial: eccentric overload % is written correctly under title now.
• Max intersession now only is shown if there are comparable tests on other sessions. And now is calculated much faster using session results graphs code.
• Feedback window allows historical radio now for all modes (not just means).
• Encoder feedback is now active by default.
• Fixed slow behaviour of some encoder analyze actions.
• Fixed forceSensorAnalyze treeviews not taking in account captureOption.
• Fixes problems with triggers since last versions.
• Fixed a bug that makes (under certain situations) analyze using concentric when should use eccentric-concentric.
• Fixed inconsistences after editing a test. Thanks to Kishore for the feedback.

Force Sensor:

• Improvements on analyze model:
• maximumIsometricForce.R manages better sdMethod problems.
• Improvements on analyze: optimized model by sd: Fixes on model, shows error if any, store on DB, better gui.
• RFD SD start sample method now finds the most stable second.
• Force sensor session results graph shows only 1 bar (max/bestSecond).
• Analyze sliders can have a customizable analyze B in ms. There is a new options button at right to manage this.
• In force sensor analysis, show differences of two sets. Before it was showing only AB and CD data, now it shows also the diff and the diff%.
• Now it can be hidden the raw and unfiltered signal (in isometric and in elastic).
• Removed the analyze/model options button. Now Model goes to options and there the analysis can be done.
• ForceSensor does not crash on cable disconnect. And cleans device for next capture.
• Fixed crash on deleting test since recent code (maybe users never experienced this problem).

Jumps:

• In multiple jumps added feedback referred to the best jump in the set (like in encoder).
• After capture (or on data selection) shown jump height at top right
• Jumps threshold increased from 50 ms to 200 ms: (2.9 cm).
• Multiple jumps export to CSV now has columns for initial speed and Q index.
• Jumps multiple drawingarea_results_realtime title show personName correctly
• Fixed: at ending a jumps multiple capture, for a moment sometimes appears barplot of previous capture.
• Fixed not sensitive edit jump simple/multiple after capture.
• Jump height use always 1.22625

WICHRO:

• Run with tracks can show speed/time on current set graph
• Run with/without tracks can show speed/time on session results graphs
• Added Rondo-Test test with image and uses special AND of first two WICHRO terminals (only on controllers with firmware: 4.9. Note before the test it is checked if the firmware is updated and if it is not, a message is shown to the user (and test is automatically cancelled).
• Shown time after capture at top right
• Fixed reverse time sort on races with intervals.
• Debug “Test It” shows channel and unsensitivizes refresh icon.
• Repair WICHRO races show terminal number. Also added splitTime (WICHRO & old photocells).
• Repair intervallic races on fixed run types cannot delete a track (as cannot add)
• Fixed: At ending a capture with tracks, for a moment sometimes appears barplot of previous capture.
• Fixed not sensitive edit run simple/multiple after capture.
• Fixed: wrong determinal detection on WICHRO at intervallic races just at the first WICHRO when option: “Races start on leaving the first device” is selected on preferences.

Race Analyzer:

• RaceAnalyzer session results graph shows only 1 bar (speed/bestSecond).
• Analzye sliders can have a customizable analyze B in ms. There is a new options button at right to manage this.
• On Sprint export, shown “This will export only Sprint data.”
• On RaceAnalyzer power/force/accel bars moved from capture tab to analyze tab. Removed from feedback window and activable now by a radiobutton. Which variable is shown it is stored on SQL.
• Fixed unsensitivity of RaceAnalyzer analyze after elastic with no data.
• Fixed crash on deleting test since recent code (maybe users never experienced this problem).

Windows

• Fixed bad behaviour on Windows 11 after capture full screen where some icons got misaligned and user cannot click. Now that fullscreen is always decorated (with windows controls) and then on restore windows misalign does not happen.

Mac:

• Silicon: Fixed export session (folder open issue)
• Silicon: Fixed backup database (folder open issue)
