
The 20th Anniversary Weekend brought together experts and professionals from the fields of sports science, technology, and healthcare. Across three engaging blocks, participants explored cutting-edge tools like Chronojump, Kinovea, and LongoMatch, shared innovative research and applications, and discussed their practical experiences in performance, education, and health. This milestone event highlighted collaboration and advancements shaping the future of these disciplines.
SUMMARY OF THE 20th ANNIVERSARY
Block 1 – Saturday morning
- The session included presentations on muscle damage assessment and recovery using Chronojump tools by Pedro L. Cosio and Joan Cadefau (INEFC Barcelona).
- Joan Charmant (Kinovea) introduced “Kinovea 2024.1.”
- Basilio Pueo and Jose M. Jimenez-Olmedo (University of Alicante) shared their insights on research and teaching with Chronojump, focusing on a low-cost lab setup, gym machine construction, and research lines.
- Moisès Vila (CESAG, Mallorca) discussed the application of Chronojump technology in the Technology subject within the Sports Science degree.
Block 2 – Saturday afternoon
- Quim Garcia (trainer at the Catalan Athletics Federation) shared his experiences transitioning from classroom theory to practical coaching in sports performance.
- Jordi Mesalles (physiotherapist, FCB) presented on screenings and monitoring within the FCB environment, followed by Maialen Aldalur (data analyst, FCB), who demonstrated the analysis, visualization, and interpretation of Chronojump data at FCB.
Block 3 – Sunday morning
- Andoni Morales (LongoMatch) explored the potential of LongoMatch beyond video analysis.
- Manuel Gallango (Hospital Quirón, Toledo) presented on neuromuscular training in cardiology patients, bridging guidelines with real-world applications.
- Armando Tellez (Fitlevel) introduced Fitlevel’s technology and standards for assessing the physical health of the population.
